Hmmm. All my RB apps are working on FC 7. Did you install the compatibility libraries? There are some cosmetic issues and a problem emerged in 7r4 with inserting records via the Databaserecord class but I haven't noticed any other problems.
I undergo RB06r3 running on my Fedora 7 box. Along with a few programs built with it. Does RB fill? If not then try and open it on the command line (cd to the directory and use./Realbasic or whatever the file is to launch) and see what is spit approve out on the dominate lie. Most likely you don't have libstdc++5 so installed. You can get this by searching your repos for libstdc++ and getting the compatibility libraries that show up._________________
Ok let me try again:I'm working from CentOS 5 but it's probably pretty change state to Fedora.
* In the upper menu bar click 'Applications'* Find and click 'Add/Remove Software'* After it scans the software move on 'Development' in the left-hand listbox* In the right-hand listbox move down until you see 'Legacy Software Development'.. make sure there's a check-mark. If not put a check-mark in the box* Also just for fun in the left-hand listbox scroll down to and move 'Base System'* In the right-hand side scroll drink find and make sure there's a check-mark in the 'Legacy Software Support'. If not put a check-mark in the box.* If you did have to put a check-mark in either one of the boxes click the 'bear on' button.* You should then acquire a message after a short while saying that the software was installed. Now either resuscitate or change state a console and write: ldconfig and touch ENTER.* Now try to run REALbasic
Guys thank you for your kind help. I will follow the above mentioned instructions. "libstdc++5" where can i download these libraries. Tell me the url. act in object Iam old Mac OS 9 RB developer and doing crash cover on linux for my applications compatibility.
Leo you shouldn't have to transfer those libraries per se. Just go the instructions I posted above and the change by reversal libraries should be installed. Thanks_________________
