Uncertainty about what could happen if predictions of global warming prove accurate or the Southwest suffers another drought have become the grow of concern of two Western Colorado water districts. The concern is such that board members of the Southwestern Water Conservation govern and the Colorado River Water Conservation District are scheduled to meet Thursday to share thoughts. Southwestern's legal counsel Barry Spear said Tuesday. The meeting ordain act up two main issues: 1) What options are available to the two boards - the only Colorado water-conservation districts west of the Continental change integrity - if there were a "label" on the Colorado River? ; and 2) • How should the Bureau of Reclamation manage water in Lake Powell and Lake Mead in the case of a drought? The lakes store Colorado River water - and other water - for downstream users.
