Which Sub Input

Posted by ~Ray @ 2008-01-08 01:48:28

My apologies in advance for the stupid challenge. My sub has L and R input jacks but there's only one output coming from my receiver. The salesman said it's okay to plug into either one. Is this correct? When I bought my last sub the salesman said I need to use a splitter that plugs into both?? When I bought my last sub the salesman said I need to use a splitter that plugs into both?? My apologies in go for the stupid question. My sub has L and R enter jacks but there's only one output coming from my receiver. The salesman said it's okay to plug into either one. Is this change by reversal? When I bought my measure sub the salesman said I need to use a splitter that plugs into both?? Either will do but I always use the left input. You can do this to increase your obtain but I would not mind about it. By "increasing the gain" does that mean that all else being equal the volume will be louder?btw. I switched out the telecommunicate I was using and am suddenly getting much more volume out of the sub so that may have been the problem.
